Milan 2026 Note Five: BOON ROOM in Milan

Published on 7 April 2026 at 16:42

While preparing for Milan Design Week 2026, I also revisit places that stayed with me.

Last year, I visited BOON ROOM in Paris. A gallery that stands out for its calm, curated atmosphere and the way objects are presented with restraint.

For Milan Design Week 2026, BOON ROOM returns with a presentation in collaboration with A-N-D, located at Via Melzo 12 in Porta Venezia.

The exhibition brings together collectible design, art and contemporary furniture in one setting. Including sculptural marble pieces by Pieter Maes and monolithic forms by Atelier Pendhapa.

What makes BOON ROOM interesting is not only what is shown, but how it is staged. The balance between object and space, between material presence and visual calm.

This is a place I plan to revisit during Milan Design Week 2026, to see how this translates into a different context.
